Blackwell Construction was founded in 1981 and has been renting quality apartments in Bloomington for the past seven years.


Do you accept Section 8?
No.

How many unrelated adults can live in your rental properties?
The zoning is different depending on location, but at Crimson Crossing as well as Winslow Crossing you can have 5 people per apartment.

What is the Blackwell Rentals Pet Policy?
We accept pets up to 30lbs. at Winslow Crossing with $250 nonrefundable pet deposit per pet. Pets weighing over 30lbs require a $500 nonrefundable pet deposit per pet.

At this time there are no pets allowed at Crimson Crossing.

How much is the security deposit and when is it due?
The amount of the deposit can vary by location. Typically the deposit is one month's rent, payable in 2 installments; half at the time you sign your lease and the balance of the security deposit is due 30 days after the lease is signed or when you get your keys (whichever is sooner).

Do you have short term leases available?
Currently we are allowing short term leases at both Crimson Crossing and Winslow Crossing. Beginning in August of 2005 we will only have 12 month leases available at Crimson Crossing.

Where is your office and how can I see a model apartment?
Our office is currently located at 820 Auto Mall Road, in the College Mall area across from Curry Buick. This is not an apartment model. You can schedule an appointment to see any of our apartments by calling (812) 333-5300. Please note the Crimson model will be open daily until April 1, 2005.

Do I need a parking permit or visitor parking permit?
Parking permits are required at Crimson Crossing. All other properties park without parking permits.
